I've been on many trips with Vet-Ex, most notably to the Ecuadorian Amazon (twice), the Galapagos Islands, Botswana, Madagascar and to Churchill to see Polar Bears. Carol's knowledge of places, culture and wildlife is extraordinary and her enthusiasm is infectious. Hands down she is the best birder I've ever known and to top it off she's really fun to travel with!!

Our trips with Drs Carol Walton and Rick LeCouteur, from lemurs in Madagascar to polar bears in Churchill, have been well planned, fun and the trips we treasure the most! My husband took a great picture of me with a lemur on my head and it’s now on the wall of my clinic - my patients love it!

Veterinary Expeditions is THE BEST tour company I have every dealt with. Carol and Rick are genuinely concerned that each person has a great time every day and they bend over backwards to make that happen. They are both people persons who engage each and every participant, both are always upbeat, positive, and cheerful. They have previously and personally visited their destinations and thus can choose the best hotels, resorts, and eco lodges, as well as the best guides and naturalists. Whereas other tour companies book every seat, Vet Ex under books to ensure that every person has extra room for camera gear and such. For instance, our 6-seat safari vehicles never had more than 4 people in it. I love that all you have to do is arrive at the destination airport, after which everything is taken care of: transfers, rooms, meals, guides, schedule, entry fees, park fees, tips. It's all so easy. Carol and Rick know when and where to go to see the most animals. These trips attract a great group of people and you always go home with a bunch of new best friends. We've been on 6 trips with Carol and Rick and will go on many more!

Just wanted to let you know how much I have appreciated your leadership, guidance and knowledge in putting together trips to some of the most absolutely marvelous places on this earth. I have journeyed with you to Uganda looking for Gorillas, Botswana for game, the jungles of Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Peru, Antarctica, and the arctic to see polar bears! Every trip has been an A++. Besides all arrangements being excellent, your personnel enthusiasm and knowledge has surpassed the best of the local guides. I still can’t believe how you could pick out a camouflaged chameleon up in a tree while traveling 25-30 miles per hour on a bumpy road in Uganda! After stopping, none of the group could even find the little guy until you pointed him out with binoculars! Carol has made every trip special and I look forward to another adventure in the near future! Thanks for all the memories!
